1911 CUSTOM 46' for Sale in Mystic, Connecticut
Built in 1911 by the James Noble Yard, Fraserburgh, Scotland, for Alex Stephen, VIOLET received a full restoration on Martha's Vineyard in the mid 1990's and has had very good care since. A rare example of the ZULU class of working vessels from the UK.A full account of the restoration is in WoodenBoat Magazine #113, July /August, 1993.
In 2007, the keel and floor timbers were replaced. Internal ballast was removed and added to external ballast. See attached Pictures.
