General Description
The design is Blount. Mr Blount showed up to a fishing outing one day in his new trawler, and his friend, Mr Walter Phipps, liked it so much, he got the design and built it.
Mr Phipps was an engineer for Raytheon. Mr Phipps used it for some time, and then it was used for some NOAA research, something to do with minerals on the bottom of the ocean.

Actual Condition
The boat has 4 cabins, a galley, head, and saloon. Solid, but chock full of extremely dated Raytheon Equipment.

Some of the repairs / additions have been "interesting". It was designed to be able to run from Massachusetts to Bermuda. She was designed for a 12V71 Detroit, but currently has a 6-71. Crash-box transmission, and an interesting belt drive to the shaft, which runs back under the engine to the stern.
1200 Gallon fuel tank.
She's in the Great Lakes now, Previous owner brought her up from the ocean salt to live in fresh water.

Any marginal plating was replaced.

She has a modern Radar, and a transom-mounted transducer, but literally a ton of old electronics that isn't even used.
Originally called the Walter Phipps, then Resolved, and currently Kathryn Ann.
